Fishing line
Fishing line predates
the wheel as a basic primitive food harvesting tool. Ancient anglers
never used hooks, simply yanked the fish out of the water and they seized
the bait offering tied to the end of the line. Eventually, the hook
was invented when they realized that bait containing a piece of bone
was more likely to jam in the fish's mouth.
